Based on anticipated usage of 650KwH of energy per EV vehicle in home charging per month, they can estimate to earn approximately $400.00 annually.*

Yes. You can earn Carbon Credits without sharing your charger publicly. Simply toggle the "Make Private" setting in the App.
ELIGIBILITY & SETUP
Who can join?
- Homeowners across Canada
- Must have an internet-connected charger
- RoadToEV currently supports Tesla Wall Connectors. Tesla account, associated with Tesla Wall Connector, must be linked within RoadToEV app to earn the credits.
- Eligibility starting since the date of joining the RoadToEV platform or April 1, 2026, whichever is later.
- Customers who joined the RoadToEV app before April 1, 2026, will be automatically enrolled in this program for all energy consumed on or after April 1, 2026.
- Some recent historical data may be retrieved (if available)

Why am I getting paid?
Canada’s CFR-CATS program requires oil & gas companies to fund clean energy initiatives. Your EV charging qualifies for those credits because it directly displaces the use of carbon-intensive fuels.
What is RoadToEV’s role?
RoadToEV is an approved Charging Network Operator under: - Compliance Category 3 – Electricity used to charge private home EVs
